Indian sandstone is natural stone with warm, varied tones that suits traditional and cottage gardens. Porcelain has clean, consistent lines, is frost-proof and resists staining, which suits modern homes and low-maintenance gardens. Both are laid on a full mortar bed over a compacted sub-base; we bring samples to the site visit.
Real turf is cheaper to lay and feels natural, but needs mowing, feeding and watering. Artificial grass costs more up front, stays green all year and suits shady or heavily used areas. Either way, the result depends on the base: we clear and level the ground and, for artificial grass, lay a drained sub-base so water does not pool.
Yes. Sloping gardens are levelled with retaining walls in brick, block or timber sleepers, and steps where you need them. We plan the levels and drainage at the site visit so the new patio or lawn drains away from the house.
