We are based in Sutton-in-Ashfield (NG17) and work across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, including Mansfield, Mansfield Woodhouse, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Huthwaite, Skegby, Nottingham, Alfreton, Chesterfield, Heanor, Ripley, Bolsover, Eastwood and the Amber Valley.
Most patios take two to five days, covering site preparation, a solid sub-base, laying the Indian sandstone or paving slabs and finishing. We keep disruption to a minimum.
Usually not if the surface is permeable, such as resin-bound or gravel, or if rainwater runs to a lawn, border or soakaway. Laying more than 5 m² of impermeable paving at the front of a house without that drainage needs planning permission. A dropped kerb needs separate approval from the highway authority. We will advise, and it is always worth checking with your council.
Spring to early autumn is easiest, because dry ground helps the groundwork and resin cures reliably. Block paving and porcelain patios can be laid year-round in dry spells, but resin-bound surfaces should not be laid in rain or near-freezing temperatures.
